My last Session of 2010

December 27, 2010

Well well… it seems like this was my very last session of 2010. It has been one amazing and busy year! I am so so lucky to have so many amazing clients and so many of you that have been coming back to me religiously! I am so so grateful to have this amazing job that I love with all my heart and I have met so many wonderful people by doing what I love to do.

I ended this perfect year with little Avery … I took her pictures when she was just a little baby and now she is already 2 years old and proud big sister to a 5 week old baby girl named Bailey. Both girls where being so good for the whole session. Avery is obviously loving the big sister thing and Bailey was having a very mellow, gas free time 🙂 What a wonderful way to end a great year!

To all my Blog readers… I wish every single one of you a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see you back in 2011!!

Wow, it feels like yesterday that I took little Ethan’s newborn pictures. Yesterday he came back for more … only he wasn’t so little anymore. He is now 3 month old, getting big and has a killer smile with which he surely knows how to win a girls heart 🙂

I don’t usually do product photography, but occasionally I have clients that own a company and ask for pictures of their products.

I have done pictures for a friend that sells jewelry (now moved to Australia though), as well as pictures for Dove Linens (Fabric color swatches.. most challenging job EVER!).

This Session was for Chae … I took Trash the Dress pictures for him and his wife in ocean city over a year ago. When he asked me to take some images of the equipment he makes, I was up for the challenge. Every now and then it’s nice to do something different 🙂

Since I don’t know much about technology, I will just have you read up his products on his website

Well, well …. there I am back already from my one week of heaven. Some of you may know that I finally went home to visit my friends and family in Germany. It was one wonderful week surrounded with some of the most important people in my life!

Now the week is over and I am back and open for business 🙂 If I don’t see or hear from you before the holidays then I wish you all an amazing and peaceful Christmas!!

I mentioned in a past Blog Post that I had three pregnant ladies, all due around the same time. Baby #1 was Seth … now baby #2 is here – Juliana.

I have been taking pictures of her big sister Avery and her parents Alyssa and Tom for quite a while now. I think Avery was barely 6 month old (she is 3 now). Her and my son are only 1 week apart in age and were even born in the same hospital.

Anyway … Alyssa has become a friend to me over the years (wow, it’s weird so say that.. YEARS!!) I was very excited to hear that she was expecting again and this time we were able to capture her pregnancy and the newborn baby (for her maternity pics, just check a few Blog posts back)

Alyssa was due on December 7th … I am leaving for Germany tomorrow, December 10th. We REALLY wanted to get those pictures done in the first week so we all crossed out fingers that it would happen in time. Avery was born 2 weeks early so you would think chances are on our side, right? WRONG! Juliana decided to keep toasting until 3 days before her due date… but luckily still in time to do the pictures. Literally last minute but we made it!! She was born in the evening of December 4th!

I was sooooo sure that this baby was a boy. There was just no doubt in my mind. So much that my baby gift to her was wrapped in blue. But once again I was wrong. I suck at this gender guessing thing so much that I think it would be a safe bet to just generally put your money on what I think it’s NOT.

Alyssa and Tom, congratulations again!! I am so glad to have met you guys and be around to see this little one grow up as well as Avery!!

Happy 1st Birthday Taryn!

December 8, 2010

Wow, I can not believe that this little cutie is already 1! Where has the time gone? The last time I saw here she was 2 weeks old and didn’t do anything but eat, poop and sleep 🙂 Now she is full of smiles and personality … and just sooooo sweet!

And turns out that she is about to become a big sister two .. twice!! Her mommy is expecting twins! Congratulations!!!!

I was super excited to see this family back. I photographed Julie and Justin’s Wedding 3 years ago, while I was pregnant with my youngest son. They live all the way past Solomons Island, so this meant a 2 hour hike to come for pictures. Talk about feeling honored!!

Maddie, the older girl was absolutely not in Christmas spirits, but I think we got a few cute shots of her anyway, in the little moments where she forgot that she was supposed to throw a fit – after all she is almost 3 (trust me I know, I have a Luke, haha)

Molly was just being happy as a clam, making silly faces.

I had the best laugh in a long time during this session. Maddie’s temper tantrums were a breath of fresh air to me since for a change it wasnt my son, haha … sorry Julie!!

Thank you guys so much for coming back!!

And again a few images added for parental amusement ..

1 Down, 2 to go

December 2, 2010

There are 3 pregnant ladies that are all due within a week of each other and I have been anxiously waiting for all of them ot have their baby so I can hopefully take their pictures before my trip to Germany next week.

Well, Carrie was the first (and so far only) to have her baby. They chose to keep the sex of the baby as a surprise and it turned out to be a BOY!!! How exciting, specially since now they have one of each, a boy and a girl. Their daughter, Leah, is now 2 1/2 years old and SUPER protective of her baby brother, Seth. I thought it was just too cute how concerned she was about anything we did with him.

Wow, I can’t believe that I have been taking Leah’s pictures since she was 4 month old and now she is already 2 1/2 and a big sister!!!

Congratulations Carrie, Dave and Leah! Seth is gorgeous!!

P.S The first picture was added for parental amusement 🙂

Rachel was a trooper. It was just above freezing out, strong winds and she looks like she is warm and cozy in the pictures, when in reality her legs and hands where about to freeze over. I love the bare backdrop with the last tracks of fall still lingering in the woods. I think it was worth doing the shots this late!

Killian and Lyra

December 1, 2010

I took Killian and Lyra’s pictures this past spring at a beautiful flower garden in Baltimore. I was very excited to see them back for Killian’s first birthday shots. Good thing he was meant to be the star of the day .. poor Lyra was so wore out from Thanksgiving, that she was a grumpy bear… we still got to sneak in some shots with here though.

And a few of these I added for the amusement of all parents of more than one child, haha 🙂
