Two of my adorable little clients turned one within days of each other. Little Lily was here for her pictures on her actual birthday! She loved the cake that her mommy made her … after she finished painting with it she decided that it tasted pretty darn good too. Wow, she ate and ate and ate … and then ate some more. We had to eventually just make her stop or she may have eaten the whole thing 🙂

She did need a shower after she was done .. it was EVERYWHERE! haha. I love cake smashing pictures!

Happy Birthday Ethan!

October 29, 2011

Ethan is 1 ! Yet another one that makes me wonder where the time has gone! He is as cute as ever and surely liked his cake. He liked it so much that eventually just grabbed it and ran as fast as he could. It was too cute!

Happy Birthday big man!

Welcome to the world Capri!

October 24, 2011

A couple of years ago a photographed Melissa & Wesley’s wedding and very recently we did Melissa’s maternity pictures. I could not wait to see the baby and here she is!! A beautiful baby girl named Capri. I absolutely love her name!

Capri doesn’t just look picture perfect, she was acting it too. She was sooooo good, sleeping most of the session and if she wasn’t sleeping she was just relaxing. We were allowed to do pretty much anything to her. The only thing she hated was my super soft cloud like pillow. She much preferred the hard floor. How funny is that? On the “cloud” she cried, on the floor she fell asleep within seconds and NOTHING would wake her up. I loved it!

Can’t wait to see her as she grows older!

And then there were 4 ….

This family was so much fun to work with. They just welcomed their brand new baby boy and we did some family and newborn photos in their home. The proud big sister got to come home from daycare for a little while to be in the pictures and she is such a ham. So cute!

Meet Chase!

October 21, 2011

Chase is 2 weeks old and such an amazingly good baby! He was wide awake and alert during the entire session, yet he did not get upset even once. He was just taking it all in.

His mommy gave birth to little Chase in the comfort of their own home. A home birth with a midwife – no drugs. Wow!!!

I am more of the “you can take the pain away – heck yeah lay it on baby” kinda gal … if you know what I mean 🙂

Welcome to the world little Chase!!!

I accept the challenge!

Back to Centennial Park (I forgot to mention that all the pictures you saw below were taken at Centennial Park as well). This place was popular this weekend and with the gorgeous weather it was just perfect.

This family came to me for the first time and I was excited to meet them. They brought their two little dogs with them. And let me tell you, cute as can be but oh boy.. certainly a photo challenge. The poor little guy was shaking the whole time and the bigger white one was sooooo excited, he would not stop jumping. I am for certain but I am almost sure that we had quite an audience. Hahaha.

I think in the end it all worked out and this family is such a sweet family! I hope to see them back soon!

Lyra and Killian came back 🙂 Lyra’s mommy told me that Lyra was asking to go see the “Picture Lady” again. Haha … somehow that makes me feel so old … Picture Lady. How cute that she remembered and even asked for me!

She wasn’t quite as excited when we got started though … while Killian was all smiles, Lyra was just like a 3 year old is supposed to be. She warmed up soon though and I think she even had some fun. What do you think?

You may remember Eva from a few Blog posts down when I did her maternity pictures. Last weekend they came back one last time as a family of 3 for some outdoor shots before their little daughter Zara will be born. We had a lot of fun and now I am soooo anxious to meet the newest addition within the next 4 weeks or so!!!

It’s Kate!!

October 19, 2011

Kate is one of my little clients that I have gotten to watch grow up over the past 2 years. It’s crazy to look back at her baby pictures and then now see her run around and talk like a little girl. She is such a ham!

Twice the bundles and twice the love
two little babies sent from above!

A sprinkle of sugar, a dash of spice
a brother and sister how very nice!

Double the giggles and double the grins
Doubles the joy of Precious New Twins!

I met Melissa about 2 or 3 years ago through a local message board. We became friends on good old Facebook but never met in real life.
Her and her husband Mike had been trying to get pregnant but it just wasn’t happening. Melissa was having a very hard time dealing with it and my heart hurt for her.

She received treatment to help her get pregnant and one day she finally got the news she was waiting to hear for so long! They were expecting!!! Shortly after those news they got even bigger news… TWINS!!!! A boy and a girl.

I was so excited for them and could not wait to see the babies.

Melissa’s pregnancy wasn’t an easy one due to preterm labor and pre-eclampsia. Yet she was able to keep these little ones cooking until 36 weeks.

Tommy and Caroline are perfect! You guys did great 🙂

Congratulations to your two bundles of joy!!!
